soccer strolls, remains undefeated

Fall
baseball scrimmage shortened by rain

Rain washed away the third and final game of the Black, White,
and Gold Series this Oct. 26 officially bringing fall baseball to
an end. It was a somewhat disappointing end, since all three teams
were tied heading into the final day.
Deacs
drop consecutive ACC rival matches

coming in with momentum from their drubbing of East Tennessee State
last week, the Deacs couldn't transfer that into wins as the Wake
Forest volleyball squad dropped two games this past week to ACC foes
Duke and Maryland.
Soccer
continues ACC slide

The Demon Deacons are anxiously awaiting Halloween and with it
an end to the month of October. After beginning the season 9-0-1,
the best start in the programs history, all five of the Deacons' losses
have come in October, bringing their record to 12-5-1.
Lowenthal
and Murray outmatched in quarterfinals

The Wake Forest men's tennis team made the short trip to Chapel
Hill, Oct. 25-27, to compete in the ITA Region II Championships. Junior
David Loewenthal and senior Mike Murray both performed well, but fell
short of the singles title when they were eliminated in the quarterfinals.

and Martzolf take over reins of tennis

this past weekend as they hosted the 2002 Omni Hotels/ ITA Southeast
Regional Championships Oct. 24-28 at the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis
Center.
