SU reorganization takes off
This column represents the views of the Old Gold and Black Editorial Board

The frequency of music acts on campus this year is just one of the many positive effects of an improved Student Union. The Pat McGee Band kicked off the semester and Nine Days is set to perform this homecoming weekend. Now, if SU could expand musical genres, we could almost believe we're a big campus. Another strength is found in the scheduled activities for homecoming. A concert, step show and midnight madness have all been planned to keep returning alumni entertained and facilitate contact with students.

Much of this improvement is due to new leadership; Kathy Arnett, the new assistant director of Benson University Center, deserves recognition for a job well done. SU also reorganized its structure. Whatever force behind the changes, SU's strong performance deserves applause, and we hope they'll offer an encore.
