Art students' honors WTC victims
By Taylor Kennamer
At 4 p.m. on the afternoon of Sept. 11, long after the morning’s speeches had ended and the crowd in front of Wait Chapel had dispersed, a different kind of memorial took its place on the chapel steps. Students walking back to their rooms after a long day of classes, ambling to the post office to check their mail or playing football on the Quad were treated to the sight of six industrious students and one harried professor hovering around what looked like a massive black bowl.

Ahn Trio captivates Secrest audience in Brendle
By Jason Nguyen
Rarely does a concert involving a violinist, a cellist and a pianist provide very much visual appeal in the way of costuming – I couldn’t imagine seeing Itzak Perlman or Yo-Yo Ma in a dress. The Ahn Trio, however, pulled it off quite beautifully Sept. 5 in Brendle Recital Hall. Exuding elegance and a refreshingly vibrant energy that lit up the stage, they put on quite a show.

MP3s ponding, Busch abounding, parties are on
By Dana Zelig

In lieu of this week’s album review is the following note, found in a corner of Tribble Hall’s B Wing: Dear Super-Hot Girl...

Sex and the Campus: 'Feeling randy? I am.'
By Brandy Jones
I am not in love. I’m not in lust. I’m not seeing anyone, talking to anyone, lord knows I’m not dating anyone and I’m definitely not hooking up with anyone.

'City By the Sea': police drama guilty of cliche
By Robyn Washington
There is no shortage of police dramas in American entertainment.

'Samurai' still powerful
By Hayley Sanders
I’ll always be pretty in love with my hometown of Austin,Texas, thanks to the independent coffeehouse culture. Sumptuous and readily available summertime sangria can be sipped while listening to some jazz music on a roasting July evening. The jumping and fairly infamous live music scene and the local independent film industry have gained recent notoriety.

MTV's Sorority Life: fantasy or reality?
By Ryan Eanes
Huge groups of cute girls competing for social acceptance and hopefully male attention – it’s spring sorority Rush, and the drama abounds.
