Security officer loves job, students

For nearly eight years, George McBride, a security guard at the Z. Smith Reynolds Library has held the same position. He sits near the entrance of the library, watching university students walk in with their eyes open wide in awe as freshmen and walk out with their careers within reach as seniors.

ADA task force instituted

Student organizes SpeakOut regarding Sept. 11 incidents

Students and faculty gathered Oct. 4 in Tribble Hall to take part in the 911 SpeakOut, a forum held to discuss the Sept. 11 attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C. Senior Lee Anne Quattrucci organized the forum to give students the opportunity to find out more about the Taliban and the current U.S. conflict with Afghanistan.

Leadership council reorganized
