The University orchestra played three pieces Saturday, each one encompassing a different musicle genre. The first piece, John Adams' Short Ride on a Fast Machine, is a contemporary work; it was followed by a piece by Carl Maria von Weber, Concerto No. 2 for Clarinet and Orchestra. The evening was capped by Czech composer Antonio Dvorak's Eighth Symphony. The concert, the orchestra's third of the year, was well received by those in attendance.
